Pulling back the curtain, NBC opened its party doors for press, fans and more to mingle with the cast of its hit shows GRIMM, HANNIBAL, COMMUNITY and more. Featured on a Saturday night, it was just the right ambiance to get the night rolling. Fiesta buffet with yummy mini-desserts and free-flowing cocktails, everyone was happy to sample the edible wares. While initially sequestered eventually the VIP casts began to mingle with the crowds and soon everyone was posing for pictures and enjoying some musical moves on the dance floor. Also very popular with guests was the digital flip-book photo booth, where attendees could done a pair of over-sized clown glasses, a sparkly hat or a feather boa to strike a pose and commemorate their party experience. After successfully surviving and navigating Day 3 at San Diego Comic-Con, the NBC Digital Network Party was just the place to rendezvous with friends and catch up with industry peers for many slipped away the next day for the four-corners of the globe. It felt comfortable and fun laced with a bit of a teaser as the GRIMM cast kept mingling with everyone and the rest of the NBC stars moved stealthily about through the crowds.
For us, the highlight was when former EUREKA and new HAVEN cast member Colin Ferguson made an appearance with HAVEN executive producer Shawn Piller and made the party their own. Fans flocked to their sides and everyone happily chatted about HAVEN, from NBC’s sister site Syfy.
Special shout-outs to our own friendly competitor sites HollywoodReporter.com,TVequals.com, TVaholic.com, TVfanatic.com, TVchick.com, and SandwichJohnFilms.com who shared a drink or two and lively conversation at the NBC Party. Always wonderful to encounter all our friends in one central location after being spread apart through the various San Diego Comic-Con panels, press rooms and activities during the course of the con.
It was fun way to start saying goodbye to the once a year geek-fest that makes all our hearts leap with joy for the five days of fun San Diego Comic-Con guarantees each year.
